REGISTERED NURSE

Contract work opportunity with Yoh's client in Middletown, CT.

Hours:

Monday
- Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm

The 2nd shift offers several benefits, including a consistent weekday schedule, quieter patient flow, and greater autonomy during evening hours-ideal for those who prefer a later start to their day.

• Registered Nurse

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required;
  Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required;
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
