Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Assembly Tech on 1st shift to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our Operations Department, directly contributing to our company Core Values (REACH). We are looking for individuals with a passion for what they do and a strong desire to make a positive impact.
Responsibilities- Perform general assembly operations under direct supervision of the GL, including printed wire board assembly, conformal coating, potting, ultrasonic cleaning, coil winding, evac & backfill, component forming, wire wrapping, and painting as required by program or process.
- Assist in conducting in-process testing, such as bench and leak testing.
- Work from blueprints, assembly drawings, routing sheets, MIL specs, verbal instructions, written process descriptions and visual work instructions.
- Maintain security clearance and certifications such as ESD, explosive handling, and general soldering (IPC J-STD-001). Basic computer knowledge with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Document and record results of completed testing and rework of products, assess rework level, assist in determining causes of component, subassembly, or system failures, and take appropriate action for rework.
- Make recommendations to the engineering department regarding modification of assembly processes.
- Support company initiatives including ISO 9000 and Statistical Process Control (SPC), ensuring continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and products.
- Assist in guiding, directing, and training employees in various assembly operations as needed.
- Remain flexible and willing to work in various work cells depending on company needs.
- Report unusual circumstances or conditions to supervisor as required.
- High School or Equivalent
- 6 months – 1 year of mechanical assembly experience.
- Basic knowledge of computers and associated software such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- General soldering experience (IPC J-STD-001) highly preferred.
- Laser welding experience preferred or willingness to learn.
