- Knowledge of standard packing and shipping procedures.
- Basic shop skills, including using hand tools.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to work with other team members.
- Meet daily packing targets and standards.
- Data entry into WMS/shipping software; experience required.
- Comply with safety and quality regulations and policies.
- Available to work overtime and weekends when business requires.
- Check all customer orders for accuracy.
- Pack, label, and prepare products for shipment.
- Ensure items are not damaged during packing, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to safety regulations.
- Read and interpret packing orders and lists to determine requirements.
- Inspect items for damage, report discrepancies, and prepare goods for shipment.
- Pack, label, and seal items according to company procedures.
- Attach shipping labels on packed cartons.
- Gather or assemble containers, wooden or cardboard, as needed.
- Use fillers, spacers, and protective padding to secure items.
- Screw covers on containers and crates using a strapping machine.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with specifications.
- May be assigned to specific areas such as domestic or export shipments.
- Interpret packing slips accurately.
- Complete forms and accompanying paperwork effectively.
