The Housekeeper is responsible for providing clean, sanitary, comfortable, and orderly surroundings for the residents and visitors of Luther Ridge, a residential community for older adults located in Middletown, CT.

Welcome to Luther Ridge, the only community in Connecticut to offer three subsidized living options for seniors under the same roof. Our facility sits on a quiet wooded campus in the center of Connecticut, in Middlesex County. At Luther Ridge, we meet the physical, social and spiritual needs of our residents with personal care and professional expertise; regardless of financial means.

• Responsible for maintaining a sanitary and attractive environment in specific assigned areas.
• Cleans resident apartments according to cleaning schedule, including washing and vacuuming floors and cleaning bathrooms.
• Cleans all areas of facility as assigned, including common areas and common area restrooms, TV/media rooms and offices.
• Responds to unplanned or emergency cleaning situations as needed.
• Reports any needed repairs immediately to supervisor.
• Maintains storage rooms in an organized fashion; maintains housekeeping carts and restocks for the following day.
• Adheres to established safety procedures.
• Assists staff and residents in emergency situations.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work independently and use good judgement.
• Must follow the facilities and the organizations policies and procedures.
• Previous experience as a housekeeper or custodian preferred.
