What You Will DoSpecific responsibilities include creating aerodynamic designs of Fan and Compressor components for aircraft gas turbines that meet aggressive design cycle time and component performance targets. Opportunities exist to work on a wide range of products and technical initiatives, including three-dimensional flow analysis, subsonic and supersonic airfoil designs, and compressor stability enhancements.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Performing compressor aerodynamic analysis
- Design of compressor aerodynamic features including airfoil and flowpath shapes
- Review and analysis of engine test data
- Supporting closure of key technical issues
- Working in teams with other engineers to improve technical capability
- This position is a part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
- Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Internship experience with Pratt & Whitney, RTX, or within the aerospace industry
- Master’s degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
- Familiarity with aero-thermal fluids experimentation and/or CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
- Relocation will be offered for those who qualify.
- Selected candidate will be automatically enrolled in the P&W Engineering Development Program (Rotational Program within P&W).
- Eligible for the Employee Scholar Program on Day 1.
- On the job training provided.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
