About the Role

A well‑established and growing organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead and manage all aspects of the accounting function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on environment and enjoys full involvement in A/P, A/R, payroll, benefits, reporting, and month‑end close.

You’ll work closely with ownership and leadership, ensuring financial accuracy, overseeing processes, and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including A/P, A/R, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and P&L reports
  • Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations while monitoring cash flow
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure accuracy of benefits and deductions
  • Oversee onboarding, benefit administration, and personnel file maintenance
  • Partner with external CPA for quarterly reviews and year-end tax filings
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
  • Support leadership with budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of accounting or full‑charge bookkeeping experience
  • Strong proficiency with Quick Books, Sage, or a similar accounting system
  • Payroll experience (ADP, Paychex, or Quick Books Payroll preferred)
  • Familiarity with benefit administration and employee onboarding
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with staff, clients, and vendors
