Position Overview
Regular, full-time faculty member (assistant or associate professor) to perform teaching, research and service in the department of mechanical engineering at Marquette University. The position is tenure track, but tenure will not be granted upon hiring, even at the associate professor rank. The successful candidate must work towards tenure based on the college and university promotion and tenure guidelines and process.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate classes as instructor of record
- Perform and supervise research
- Collaborate with existing faculty in Mechanics within mechanical engineering as well as those within COE
- Focus on experimental/theoretical basic mechanics such as finite elements with applications in areas such as theoretical mechanics, additive manufacturing, dynamics systems
Required Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
Earned doctorate or a terminal degree. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and high quality research.
