Production Operator – Rotating Day Shift Job
Bostik Middleton is hiring a Production Operator for the rotating day shift. Salary range: $38,600–$49,920 (pending experience) with an 8% shift differential. Sign‑on bonus: $2,500
. Health benefits start on Day 1 of employment. Rotating day shift hours: 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM (must be willing to work overtime as necessary).
- Responsible for the safe operation of the manufacturing operation and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for day‑to‑day completion of assigned tasks.
- Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA, EPA guidelines, and Bostik’s EHS expectations.
- Follow written instructions and standard operating procedures to manufacture quality products.
- Assist in updating documentation as required.
- Work collaboratively with fellow operators to ensure a quality product is produced.
- Perform preventive maintenance functions as required.
- Assist as needed and when available in other areas of manufacturing.
- Perform in‑process laboratory testing to satisfy intermediate and finished‑product requirements.
- Accurately administer batch sheets and retain sample collections.
- Follow proper procedures for the handling, storage, and transfer of hazardous materials.
- Operate all equipment within your respective department.
- Conduct cycle counts, as required.
- Operate forklift and material‑handling equipment.
- Fill out maintenance work orders in the event of foreseen mechanical problems.
- Report incidents and communicate them appropriately.
- A fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment involving a wide variety of functions and activities.
- Participate in activities within the plant, your department, and cross‑functional teams.
- Utilize both PC‑based and enterprise software, combined with frequent interpersonal communication.
- Produce production activities to meet plant and business objectives.
- High‑school diploma or higher education preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing operations preferred.
- Committed to operator‑driven in‑plant lab testing, autonomous & preventive maintenance, shop‑floor problem solving, 5S, etc.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Experienced in working within a team environment.
- Adaptive to change and able to lead change.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
