Customer Development Executive – MCURRACH (Carlsberg Britvic)
Location: Rochdale, Middleton & surrounding areas (Ideal postcode M24)
Employment type: Permanent, full time – 40 hours per week
Salary: £29,750 basic + 20% bonus
OverviewCarlsberg Britvic is the largest multi‑beverage supplier in the UK, home to iconic beers such as Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn, as well as popular ciders like Hobgoblin and Wainwright. The soft‑drink portfolio includes J2O, Robinsons, Tango, London Essence and the Pepsi UK portfolio – Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy. With six production facilities and 16 logistics depots, the business serves customers across the UK.
In the Customer Development Executive role you will grow market share within your territory, driving sales of our Beers, Ciders and Soft Drinks in convenience (Symbol & Independent) stores while maximizing brand visibility.
- Partner with customers by building outstanding relationships in convenience stores, understanding retailer needs, local consumers and executing solutions.
- Adopt a full‑category selling approach to grow and develop every outlet you work with for both the retailer and Carlsberg Britvic.
- Create a winning territory business plan and take a business‑development approach to grow sales and market share.
- Use data and evidence‑based retailer successes to drive best practice in your territory, region and across the team.
- Develop a growth mindset and adaptable approach that demonstrates an ability to offer alternative solutions to challenges and win over your stores.
- You are a fun, passionate, driven, and target‑oriented team player who can bring brands to life.
- Your entrepreneurial style means you thrive on being the key contact for customers, driving new business and maintaining sustainable relationships.
- You are eager to win, advocate our brands and put consumers at the heart of what we do and sell.
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills will be key to your success.
- You may have previous experience in Direct Sales/Convenience or FMCG.
- Good administration, organisational and planning skills, commercial acumen and strong negotiation techniques.
- Self‑motivated, IT and social‑media literate.
- Strong resilience, personal energy and the will to act at pace.
- Participates as part of a team in a proactive manner.
- Full valid manual driving licence, eligibility to work in the UK and live within a 60‑minute commute from the role location are essential.
- A starting salary of £29,750 with a 20% quarterly bonus.
- A company vehicle & fuel card.
Please note this role requires a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points or previous bans). All offers will be subject to successful completion of a DVLA licence check.
