Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Control Systems Engineer required to join a global manufacturer of industrial materials and components at their Leeds production facility.

The successful Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting plant maintenance, diagnostics, and improvement projects, with a focus on electrical systems, control panels, and automation. This is a hands‑on engineering role offering long‑term development in a high‑tech, process‑driven manufacturing environment.

Youll have a broad background in electrical engineering with experience in control systems, 3‑phase power, VFDs, and PLC‑based systems. Knowledge of high‑temperature processes or heavy industry would be advantageous.

Based in Leeds

Day shifts, Monday to Friday

Call‑out rota (shared across the engineering team)

• Diagnose and resolve faults on manufacturing plant and equipment
• Assist with R&D projects to improve or re‑engineer production processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement and site development activities
• Perform hands‑on installation, assembly, and upgrade of electrical systems
• Support both electrical and basic mechanical maintenance tasks

• Experience as an Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Controls Engineer or similar
• Strong understanding of control panels, PLCs, motors, VFDs, 3‑phase and single‑phase systems
• Apprentice trained with HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Strong analytical and fault‑finding ability
• Must be commutable to Leeds
