Press Brake Operator

We are currently seeking a Press Brake Operator to join our growing team. The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining and troubleshooting the machines. Keeping a clean and safe work environment while assisting others when needed and complying with all safety procedures. This position will functionally report to the Sheet Metal Foreman and work primarily in a group fabrication setting.

Responsibilities:

• Makes routine adjustments to bend programs up to and including tools at time to assure parts are within tolerance.
• Must check parts against print using proper QC measuring equipment.
• Load/unload machines and may check basic cross-reference information to assure correct part is being processed.
• Assures that basic quality checks are performed at specific intervals on machine parts.
• Performs routine maintenance on all machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor machine operation to detect any issues or malfunctions.
• Must be able to read prints, set up and run various metal fabrication equipment.
• Works responsibly and efficiently, adhering to all safety rules and policies.
• Perform any other duties as required by Supervisor/Fabrication Manager to realization of departmental and company goals.

Required:

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of manufacturing work experience.
• 2+ years of press brake machinery experience. (preference on Trumpf press brake).
• Must be able to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Must be able to check and measure parts according to technical document specification. Use of measurement tools, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Familiar with folding machines.
