We are working with a well-established and highly regarded legal practice to recruit an experienced Residential Property Conveyancer/Executive for its Middlesbrough office on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an important appointment within a busy and successful property team delivering high-quality residential conveyancing services across the local and wider regional market. You will manage a varied caseload of sale and purchase matters from instruction through to completion, ensuring a consistently high standard of service for clients and professional contacts. The role offers excellent long-term career prospects within a firm known for its strong conveyancing reputation and client-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage residential conveyancing matters from initial client instruction through to post-completion and file closure
- Take clear and detailed instructions, providing practical, client-friendly advice throughout the transaction
- Draft, review and manage contracts, reports and correspondence in line with regulatory and internal procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely billing and recovery of fees from clients and third parties
- Assist with supervision and support of junior colleagues when required
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing practice
Essential Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 2+ years' experience in residential conveyancing at a similar level (Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or equivalent)
- Strong technical expertise across freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal issues clearly and confidently
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and workload effectively
- A client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an exceptional service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
