We are working with a well established and highly successful Earthworks and Ground Improvement contractor, specialising in Bulk Earthworks, Demolition, Land Surveys, Stabilisation, Geotechnical Services, and Waste Management Solutions in the North East of England
Preferred Requirements
* Degree (BSc/BEng/MEng) in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
* Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience
* Understanding of soil mechanics, engineering geology, and ground investigation techniques
* Experience with site investigations, earthworks, and technical reporting (or strong academic equivalent for graduate roles)
* Knowledge of UK guidance including BS standards and contaminated land frameworks
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site locations (predominantly northeast and Yorkshire)
Key Responsibilities
* Planning, supervising, and undertaking ground investigations (boreholes, trial pits, and site logging)
* Preparing and reviewing Phase 1 and Phase 2 Geotechnical/ Geo-environmental Assessments
* Soil and rock logging, sampling, and interpretation of laboratory test results
* Contaminated land risk assessments and remediation strategy development
* Preparation of factual and interpretative geotechnical and geo-environmental reports
* Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
* Supporting geotechnical/ earthworks design
* Ensuring compliance with UK health, safety, and environmental regulations
