Position: Electrical Technician
Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday 37.5hrs)

As an Electrical Technician, you’ll play a key role in the design, wiring, and integration of robotic systems. Using your practical electrical engineering skills, you’ll help deliver innovative, high‑quality automation solutions that embody Labman’s mission to enable science through technology.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Participate in the full life cycle of engineering projects, including installation and commissioning (potentially worldwide)
- Design and develop electrical systems for bespoke robotic solutions, including power circuits, motors, sensors, and safety systems
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring panels, and peripheral hardware to a high standard
- Loom, label, and terminate cables and pneumatic lines neatly and accurately
- Ensure all systems meet EU and ISO standards, directives, and safety legislation
- Communicate effectively with project leaders, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
- Support fault finding, testing, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle
- HNC (Level
4) or higher in Electrical / Electronic Engineering - Minimum 2 years’ relevant industry experience
- Strong ability to interpret IEC circuit diagrams and component datasheets
- Excellent fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Clear communication and team‑working abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Effective time and task management
- Experience using SEE Electrical or similar drawing packages
- Familiarity with industrial field buses, functional safety (ISO 13849), and diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators)
- Basic soldering and prototyping skills
- Knowledge of single‑phase and three‑phase systems, DC power circuits, and servo/stepper motors
