Dyslexia Specialist Tutor – Middlesbrough
New Chapter Tuition is recruiting a Dyslexia Specialist Tutor to deliver 1:1 Maths and Englist support to children and young people with dyslexia in Middlesbrough.
This is a rewarding, flexible role ideal for tutors, teachers, or education professionals with experience supporting learners with specific learning difficulties (SpLD).
Key Responsibilities as a dyslexia tutor:
* Deliver 1:1 dyslexia-focused tuition using structured, multisensory approaches
* Plan and adapt sessions in line with EHCPs, learning plans, and individual needs
* Support literacy skills including reading, writing, spelling, memory, and organisation
* Build positive, confidence-boosting relationships with learners
* Monitor progress and liaise with families, schools, and professionals
Essential Requirements:
* Experience supporting children or young people with dyslexia or SpLD preferred OR recent degree in a relavent subject such as Education or Psychology
* Knowledge of the UK curriculum and evidence-based literacy interventions
* Ability to deliver structured, personalised 1:1 sessions
* Patient, nurturing, and learner-centred approach
* Strong communication and organisational skills
