Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Long Term Care position in Vermont, requiring prior travel experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities- Long term care unit within a rehabilitation and nursing facility setting
- Evening shift, 8-hour shifts; schedule alternates between 4 shifts one week and 5 shifts the next
- Minimum of every other weekend required; schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- Floating required
- Epic EMR is used; experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- Monday through Sunday scheduling; no block schedules permitted for any reason
- Provide nursing care to long term care residents, including those with dementia
- Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
- Candidates must be able to account for all employment gaps exceeding 90 days
- Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; those residing 51–100 miles away qualify for a mid-tier rate; distance is measured in a straight line, not driving distance
- 16-week assignment with potential approval for up to 32 weeks
- Active RN license — VT or compact license accepted; NY license accepted with proof of pending application
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- Dementia capable care certification preferred
- Must not be allergic to cats, as one resides on the unit
- Must have reliable personal transportation — public transportation is not accessible in this area; snow/all-season tires required November through April
- Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required (one from within the past 6 months, one from within the past year)
