Objective
The PMO Project Manager is responsible for managing projects throughout the project life cycle. The person will possess strong attention to detail and communication skills, ability to make logical decisions in a timely fashion, and strong client service with the ability to meet timelines and manage project scope.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT- Manage multiple team projects with cross-functional complexity
- Knowledge of PMBOK® methodology required
- Develop communication plan
- Complete stakeholder analysis
- Document project scope and elaborate on business requirements to derive scope
- Document project tasks, timelines, and milestones
- Develop comprehensive cross‑functional project plan and milestones
- Document resource assignments to tasks and assist in defining resource allocation for workload distribution
- Track progress and determine relative progress against plan
- Proactively analyze progress to date across all facets of the project plan and use techniques to address unfavorable progress
- Communicate regularly and effectively with project team, sponsors, stakeholders, and clients
- Document project risk and mitigation plans, curate and assess project risks
- Document issues and action items, manage resolution of project issues and action items
- Document project meetings and lead project meetings
- Incorporate appropriate change management techniques when managing a project
- Assume other duties as assigned by manager
- Drive a project with a project plan and minimum supervision
- Oversight of project team activities throughout the project life cycle
- Mentor and train new and junior project managers
- Provide input on the development/maintenance of project toolkit according to best practices
- Create and develop artifacts to add to the project toolkit
- Experience managing projects required
- Knowledge of healthcare billing preferred
- Experience working in finance, healthcare, or insurance related environment preferred
- Proven experience managing complex projects within a PMO required
- Four‑year degree in Business, Science, Healthcare Administration (or other related field) required
- PMP Certification, preferred
- Three (3) years of experience in Project Management
- One (1) year of experience working with teams
- One (1) year of experience in a PMO environment
- Detail‑oriented and logical thinker with strong analytical, process improvement, and problem‑solving skills
- Skilled in using Microsoft Suite—Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project; familiar with Teams and One Note
- Ability to establish priorities, proceed with objectives, and work independently
- Working knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement, government payer and managed care industry, a plus
- Experience with medical accounts receivable management and medical billing software, a plus
- Strong communication and presentation skills at an executive level
Physical Demands: General office demands including sitting and/or standing for long periods of time. Dexterity with general office equipment including but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and calculator. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to handle stress in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines while adapting to a changing atmosphere. The employee will be expected to make judgement decisions, grasp new ideas, and communicate with various employees and clients at all levels.
Salary Range: $70k-$80k based on experience
