Evening Janitor​/Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Evening Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment in our office building. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows established cleaning procedures, and works independently during evening hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, conference rooms, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners
• Vacuum carpets; sweep and mop hard-surface floors
• Dust and wipe down desks, countertops, windowsills, and high-touch surfaces
• Refill restroom and breakroom supplies (soap, paper products, etc.)
• Spot-clean walls, glass, and doors as needed
• Secure the building after cleaning (lock doors, turn off lights, report issues)
• Safely use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
• Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or supply shortages to supervisor

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to lift up to 30–40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
• Must be able to pass a background check

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Indoor office environment
• Evening and nighttime hours Monday - Friday
• Standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motions required
• Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
