Position Overview
Courier/DOT role at Federal Express Corporation.
Responsibilities- Driver / operator of company vehicles.
- Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages.
- Checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex service features and performs related customer service functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and lift or maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
- Neat appearance since customer contact is required.
- Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
- Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
- Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position. Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials and respond to official inquiries.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
