Shift: Full-Time, (11:00 am – 7:00 pm), 5 days per week
Join Hygea Healthcare's dedicated team and play a vital role in our patient care mission!
What You’ll Do:- Prepare and Produce: Execute all aspects of meal preparation (breakfast, and potentially prep work for lunch/dinner) following established recipes and menus with consistency and precision.
- Safety and Sanitation: Maintain impeccable sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen, strictly adhering to all local health codes and Hygea Healthcare's compliance policies (JCAHO/COMAR standards).
- Patient Focus: Ensure all meals are prepared to accommodate documented dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests as directed by the kitchen supervisor.
- Inventory and Organization: Assist with receiving, rotating, and stocking inventory, and ensure the kitchen is clean and prepared for the daytime staff.
- Overnight Operations: Manage kitchen operations independently during the overnight hours, including monitoring food temperatures and securing the kitchen area at the end of the shift.
- Proven experience as a Cook or in institutional food service, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and storage techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail, especially regarding portion control, dietary restrictions, and safety protocols.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
