Overview
Manufacturing/Process Engineers are the bridge between the design team and the production floor. As a Manufacturing/Process Engineer, you will develop new and improve existing composite structures manufactured in the composite bonding area. Manufacturing/Process engineers learn to take manufacturing ownership of the structures they are responsible for and develop the skills needed to communicate with business leaders as well as the certified operators who manufacture the product.

WhatYOU Will Do
- Ensure adherence to existing engineering specifications, processes and procedures that support the manufacturing of carbon fiber reinforced composite structures.

- Tooling Design, manufacturing and Geometry Buy-Off via modeling software
- Production/Manufacturing Planning
- Support the development of detailed cost models and Cost-Out concepts
- Support the introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment, including creating and/or reviewing aspects of NPI designs:
- Manufacturability of design concepts
- Cost estimates and ROI of new concepts and designs to be automated
- Develop tooling concepts and production methodology for automation cells
- Support of business reviews and provide technical insight into manufacturing
- Critical Thinking: Troubleshoot engineering issues affecting part quality, cost or function
- Critical Thinking: Develop engineering metrics around productivity and part flow
- Communication: Employ operator manufacturing procedures, training manuals and planning
- Communication: Effectively liaison with other functional groups
- Documentation: Create engineering documentation in support of manufacturing activities
- Must have at least a Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and engineering technology
- This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization.

Estimate salary range for this role: $63,500 to $93,000 per year. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
