Assistant Property Manager

Self Storage One - Middle River, MD
Full-Time | Travel Between Properties Required


Job Overview: Self Storage One and Apartment Services, Inc. is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our self storage facility. This role works closely with the Property Manager and District Manager to ensure smooth operations, accurate reporting, strong occupancy performance, and an exceptional customer experience. The Assistant Property Manager plays a key role in maintaining site organization, security, and overall property readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily site operations including opening/closing procedures, administrative tasks, and reporting.
  • Support customers with rentals, payments, service requests, and general inquiries in a professional, approachable manner.
  • Oversee site operations in the absence of the Property Manager, as needed.
  • Process on-site payment transactions, filing, and invoicing.
  • Inspect property grounds and storage units regularly to ensure cleanliness, security, and readiness.
  • Prepare and follow up on service requests and maintenance needs.
  • Assist with delinquency tracking and documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Support the unit vacate process, including basic damage inspections.
  • Help maintain organization of office systems and site records.
  • Monitor security systems and promptly report concerns.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous self storage experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Professional, neat appearance with strong customer service focus.
  • Valid Driver's License and use of vehicle for duration of each shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors and walk the property regularly in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
  • Must provide current phone number and email address.
  • May be required to travel between Self Storage One locations as needed.
