Skill Set:

Responsible for identifying problems, needs, and opportunities for improvement to help the organization achieve its goals. Works with project stakeholders and business personnel to communicate the project vision, define initial requirements, and scope. Models and designs new systems aligned with organizational goals. Distills diverse messages from stakeholders into a unified vision understandable by developers. Communicates schedules and estimates to development teams.

Implements new or improved business processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and reduce operational costs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field. Plus, three years of experience as a business analyst or in a closely related role analyzing IT organizations and systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining computer information systems.
  • Understanding of processes, methods, and techniques for analyzing and evaluating business operations.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
  • Knowledge of programming concepts and the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret business processes and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Ability to analyze data, documents, surveys, and workflows to identify solutions.
  • Capability to develop workable solutions to business problems.
  • Decision-making and project management skills.
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between developers, users, clients, and management.
