Position Overview
Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Associate in Brownstown, MI. We want the right Warehouse Associate to join us at Ryder and work in the safest supply chain environment with state‑of‑the‑art equipment. Products handled:
Furniture, Appliances, and Harley Davidson.
- Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour
- Overtime Pay $30.00 per hour
- Schedule:
First Shift Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm;
Saturday OT as needed
- Weekly pay
- On the job paid training

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Six months of related warehouse experience (required)
- One year or more related warehouse experience (preferred)
- Operating and maintaining powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks) – intermediate skill required
- Operating manual and/or automated warehouse equipment (e.g., packaging line) – intermediate skill preferred
- Powered industrial truck certification
- Ability to read, do basic mathematics in English for safety and work instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to input data into the WMS computer system(s)
- Work overtime as assigned
- Create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
- Work independently and as a member of a team
- Be flexible, self‑driven, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
- Capable of multi‑tasking with excellent time‑management and follow‑up skills
Some positions require additional screening, which may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities- Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials.
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure all scanning is completed correctly.
- Help train dock employees on new procedures.
- Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
- Perform picking and packing duties; check for product or container damage.
- Perform tasks as described in the location’s policies and procedures, including handling of materials within associated logical transactions.
- Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required.
- Participate in workgroup and other team activities for self‑improvement and improving warehouse operations.
- Perform housekeeping duties for the assigned area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
