The City of Pleasanton is seeking reliable and customer-focused building attendants to take on the role of Recreation Leader III - Building Attendant for Facility Rentals and ensure seamless experiences at venues like the Senior Center and Veterans Memorial Building.
Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, you'll serve as the on-site point of contact in a dynamic facility rental setting—assisting with room preparation and set-up of furniture and equipment, monitoring renters and guests for compliance with health, safety, and facility rules, opening and closing multiple locations, greeting the public and responding to inquiries, facilitating communication and resolving concerns with mature judgment, preparing shift reports as needed, and maintaining a professional, welcoming environment every step of the way.
You'll build strong relationships, provide excellent customer service, and collaborate in a team-oriented atmosphere to support community events and programs.

- Assist with facility set-up, including furniture and equipment for rentals, classes, and meetings, and ensure proper clean-up and storage.
- Serve as the on-site City contact, greeting the public, answering questions, and responding to renter concerns or inquiries.
- Monitor facility use to ensure compliance with health, safety, and rental policies, interpreting procedures as needed.
- Open and close facilities at multiple locations, operate as the person-in-charge, and provide shift reports, including financial summaries if required.
- Interact with renters, guests, staff, and supervisors, facilitating communication, assigning tasks to volunteers if applicable, and resolving conflicts using mature judgment.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, moving equipment, and maintaining a professional appearance while working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Join a dedicated Community Services team.

Possess current American Red Cross certification, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and all guidelines outlined in Title 22 (may be obtained after employment).
