At O’Brien Interiors Group, our Renovation Supervisor
, is an integral part of leading a traveling crew within the Midwest, that performs a wide range of interior renovation and remodeling duties for residential and multifamily units. This role is hands‑on and includes painting, surface preparation, drywall repair, finishing work, and general construction tasks. The Renovation Supervisor leads and coordinates renovation in Senior Living Communities. Leading crews that preform unit turns, capital improvements, and renovation projects while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, and company values.

• Oversees daily renovation activities and leads Renovation Specialist and Associates.
• Leads and coordinates renovation work in residential apartments in senior communities
• Ensures on time, on budget, safety, and quality to scope and O’Brien standards.
• Perform interior renovation work including painting, drywall patching, taping, mudding, sanding, caulking, trim work, minor carpentry, basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical work
• Daily and consistent communication with stakeholders – internally and externally.
• Prepare units for renovation or turnover by assessing conditions and completing assigned scopes of work
• Assist with flooring installation, cabinetry touch-ups, door and hardware installation, and finish work
• Identify maintenance or structural issues and report findings to supervisors

• Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
• Apply primers and sealers to prepare new or repaired surfaces
• Mix and match paint colors and finishes
• Cover surfaces with drop cloths and protective materials
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints using caulk, putty, or plaster
• Smooth and prepare surfaces using sandpaper or power tools
• Use specialized finishing techniques when required

• Read work orders and follow instructions from supervisors
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Safely use hand and power tools
• Communicate professionally with team members and supervisors
• Maintain regular attendance and meet project deadlines

• Perform all other duties as assigned

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in renovation, remodeling, painting, or construction preferred
• Strong mechanical and construction skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Team-oriented with positive communication skills
• Routinely lift 25–75 lbs.; occasionally lift 76–100+ lbs.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
• Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and repetitive motion
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  
  Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions
• Fast-paced renovation environment
