** Responsibilities*
* The Master Electrician is responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of all electrical systems, including systems additions or modifications on a variety of plant equipment and facilities. They will be responsible for working on all electrical systems that 480 volts and below at the Hillsdale location.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments or replacements.
+ Create, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment in the plant.
+ Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using appropriate testing equipment and tools. This may include control hardware, including PLC's and HMI's.
+ Partner with machine operators on equipment troubleshooting automation needs to increase efficiency.
+ Read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
+ Fabricate/weld parts as needed.
+ Leads, trains and/or guides other electricians or qualified maintenance personnel in applicable procedures and techniques.
+ Perform building,routine and preventative maintenance, including repairs to facility equipment - mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and/or hydraulic.
+ Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of both equipment and supplies.
+ Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
+ Performs other jobs duties as required.
** Qualifications*
* ** Education and Experience
Required:
*
* + High school diploma or GED.
+ Possession of a current State of Michigan Master Electrician certification, and maintain certification as required.
+
Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and 5S (including Kaizen and Gemba).

* Physical Requirements:
** Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
+ Must be able to work in hot, humid and/or cold manufacturing environments
+ Must be able to crouch, kneel and stoop for prolonged periods of time
+ Must be able to climb ladders as needed
