Smith Lawn Scapes is a family-oriented landscape construction and maintenance company serving the Greater Lansing area for over 20 years. We are a true one-stop shop, performing all landscaping, hardscaping, excavation, lawn installs, irrigation, and snow management in-house. We are hiring an Irrigation Crew Leader to lead the installation and servicing of residential and commercial irrigation systems. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced irrigation professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and is ready to guide a small crew in the field.

• Lead and perform irrigation system installations on residential and commercial projects
• Install and service controllers, valves, heads, sensors, piping, and wiring
• Diagnose and resolve irrigation issues related to coverage, pressure, electrical, and hydraulics
• Perform spring start-ups, system inspections, and fall winterizations
• Program and adjust controllers for seasonal efficiency
• Direct daily work and workflow for crew members
• Ensure installations meet company standards and job specifications
• Communicate professionally with customers on site
• Track materials, time, and completed work accurately

• 2+ years of hands-on irrigation installation experience
• Experience leading or guiding others on job sites (formal title not required)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, dig, kneel, bend, and work on your feet
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Dependable, professional, and proud of your work

• Full-time, W-2 employment
• $24-$32 per hour, based on experience and leadership ability
