Position SummaryAs a Senior HVAC Controls Technician, you will be responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining building automation and HVAC control systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our customers’ facilities operate efficiently, reliably, and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities- Install, program, and calibrate HVAC control systems, including sensors, controllers, and actuators
- Troubleshoot and repair control system issues, both onsite and remotely
- Perform preventative maintenance on building automation systems (BAS)
- Commission new HVAC control systems and verify proper operation
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, and technical manuals
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and HVAC technicians to deliver high-quality solutions
- Document service and installation work thoroughly and accurately
- Provide customer service, support and training on system operation when needed ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Knowledge with Honeywell, JCI, ALC, Distech, Circon and Siemens control systems preferred
- Plan, Spec., Quote and lay out control projects.
- After hours remote monitoring and address alarms
- 10+ years of experience working with HVAC controls, building automation systems, or related field
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and control theory
- Strong technical skills in creating and modifying control system graphics, establishing communication links between devices and systems, programming HVAC control sequences, and ensuring reliable system accessibility.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, meters, and control software
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience with specific systems such as Johnson Controls, Tridium, or Lon Spec is required
- Pay to be determined by experience and knowledge of Controls.
