Mechanic - Rockford Area

Salary Range

$44,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot complex machinery failures to identify root causes.
• Install, align, and commission new production machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections and calibrations to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and spare parts inventory.
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.

• Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Vocational training or an Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Experience with PLC programming or troubleshooting
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
• Certification in hydraulics and/or pneumatics
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
