Stellantis Site to Site Security Officer

Overview

Wage: $20.30/ hour

Must have open availability. Must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license. Must be able to successfully complete a physical. Position requires participation in the Flex program for up to 6 months, with transition to full-time status thereafter. Must be able to cover multiple sites, including:
Detroit, Center Line, Warren, Romulus, Dundee, Chelsea, Auburn Hills, Sterling Heights, Trenton, Lake Orion, and Marysville.

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.

• Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Comfortable using computers, smartphones, and other technology.
• Strong communication skills; ability to use radios, smartphones, and dispatch communication systems.
• Must work closely with the on-site client police department.
• Indoor and outdoor patrols required, including stairwells.
• Mobile patrols across campus are required.

• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process; assists visitors with a legitimate need to gain entry; screens visitors and client employees to expedite admittance.
• Provides an atmosphere where client employees and visitors know that the client responds to and cares about their needs; offers courteous, respectful and pleasant interactions; presents a good image of the client and its security department.
• Communicates in an open, honest and responsive manner; to the extent authorized, provides information regarding the site and surrounding area as requested by visitors.
• Monitors entrances and exits; prevents unapproved or unlawful entry; controls entrances, movement of people and vehicles, and parking; operates a gate and examines vehicle contents; monitors remote entrances using CCTV; operates remote access devices; calmly directs individuals who cause disturbances to leave the property.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked ingress/egress, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons; inspects buildings and grounds with appropriate equipment and protective gear.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident; sets up barriers and signage; provides direction or information to others.
• Prepares logs or reports as required; writes and/or types reports and/or enters information in a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and takes action as required.
