Job Description

The Territory Sales Representative plays a vital role in cultivating long lasting customer relationships and selling premium cannabis products to wholesale accounts by promoting Pleasantrees products within the cannabis industry. They will be responsible for maximizing profitability by continually driving sales for immediate and future growth; they will maintain positive and profitable business relationships with all accounts and work seamlessly with internal team members to support the needs of Pleasantrees’ customers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage existing and grow new accounts using your experience to develop new business within assigned territory
  • Develop a customer business growth plan for each account and build a pipeline of selling opportunities
  • Analyze data and insights to increase sales, grow customer business, and achieve company objectives
  • Visit accounts regularly, capture visit notes, and build future visit plans considering previous visit outcomes
  • Identify and maintain orders from existing and new accounts
  • Maintain ongoing customer relationships to ensure consistent long-term ordering
  • Input orders in a timely manner and follow up with customers to ensure proper accuracy of fulfillment
  • Train and educate current and prospective cannabis retailers on Pleasantrees brand and product offerings
  • Partner with marketing team members to execute marketing activities and promotions
  • Submit budget expenditures related to sales and growth efforts
  • Participate in sales meetings, occasional on-site training, and supplier events as required
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of product offerings, CRA regulations, MMFLA & MRTMA, as well as competitors
  • Consistently provide customer feedback (product selections, inventory levels, industry trends and promotions)
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience working in sales management systems (i.e. Salesforce, Monday, Pipedrive, Hubspot, Sales flare)
  • 3+ years of experience as a sales representative in a fast-paced customer centric environment
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license with active auto insurance, and a clean DMV record is required
  • Flexible schedule; travel up to 80% of the time (including evening and weekend hours when necessary)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak intelligently about the cannabis industry and trends as well as Pleasantrees affiliate brands to prospective decision makers
  • Accredited degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 21 years of age is required
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screening (excludes THC)
  • Must be compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry (CRA).
  • Ability to frequently stand, sit, bend, twist daily; ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs. daily.
