Location: West Branch

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities within an assigned geographic territory. Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base and uncover high-value opportunities that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability. This role demands a deep understanding of fluid power systems, hydraulics applications, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to adapt to changes in the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Increase sales profitably within your assigned territory by offering a “consultative” approach to every customer.
  • Utilizing available tools, research potential customers within assigned geography, identify targets based on sales potential vs. Depatie’s capabilities and create strategic sales plans for success.
  • Build relationships with decision makers at existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify, initiate and close high value, high margin opportunities within assigned geography.
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations, RFQ responses and training sessions for customers within assigned geography.
  • Create and maintain customer data within the Depatie CRM system (Net Suite).
  • Maintain a consistent call schedule for all assigned customers.
  • Manage opportunity funnel for customers within assigned geographical territory.
  • Promote, establish and maintain bin programs with all applicable accounts.
  • Work regularly with manufacturers' representatives, product specialists and sales management to gain more product knowledge and better understanding of our products & services.
  • Follow up on sales leads within assigned territory and bring them to closed status.
  • Review and suggest adjustments to reserved inventory for customers within assigned territory.
  • Create and maintain sales forecast and goal potential for all customers assigned in your territory.
  • Actively pursue personal and professional development.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations and attend/actively participate in training sessions, including overnights.
  • When applicable, willingness to participate in Depatie’s “Subject Matter Expert” program.
  • Other duties as assigned by Depatie.
Qualifications
  • Customer-first work ethic.
  • Technical knowledge/experience of 3-7 years preferably with Hydraulics/Pneumatics.
  • Technical Certification or college degree preferred.
  • Personable and professional attitude.
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer-based business systems.
  • High degree of business acumen.
  • Ability to undertake projects or work on their own initiative.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
