Store Manager Trainee

Join our team as a Store Manager in Training at Dollar Tree. Your natural leadership skills and ability to inspire teams to deliver exceptional customer service make you the right person for the role. We’ll provide on‑the‑job training to help you manage profitable store operations by maintaining high merchandising standards, creating inviting atmospheres, and overseeing daily operations.

• Recruit and hire store associates.
• Foster associate growth through training on operations and merchandising; coach and correct as needed.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising directions from corporate headquarters.
• Help the store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
• Maintain a positive, environment while interacting professionally with customers, associates, and leaders.

• Minimum 3 years of prior retail management experience (preferred).
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment.
• Physical capability to lift between 30–50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting (with or without reasonable accommodation).
