Team Member (Assembler) – Portland – Family Farm & Home

Family Farm & Home is a family-owned and operated company based in Michigan. We opened our first store in April 2002 and currently operate 71 retail locations across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. We supply a wide variety of products in departments such as tools, hardware, automotive, pet, work and casual clothing, footwear, farm supplies, horse and livestock feed, bird food, lawn and garden, and alternative heating.

• Promote Company mission statement and family values.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
• Greets customers as they enter and exit the store and interacts in a pleasant manner.
• Solicits customers to sign up for Company Programs (Loyalty program, extended warranties, add‑on initiative, financing, item of the month).
• Answers phone calls in a professional manner and assists customers in store and on supported internet sites while processing special orders.
• Utilize POS to checkout customers and follow all cash handling processes and procedures.
• Complete product assembly, product recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving area, cash office and register area, restrooms and break room.
• Assist in building and assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
• Maintain awareness of in‑store safety issues and shoplifting activities and communicate potential issues to store management.
• Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently (Only 18 years old and above).
• Operate on the Go to complete POG’s and mass layouts in correct locations per store layout.
• Operate Harvester to complete online customer orders.
• Perform daily operational standards checklist and contribute to positive working environment.

• Must work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Committed to excellent service and customer satisfaction.
• Strong communication skills: clearly and effectively communicate with customers and team members.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Basic computer system knowledge.
• Can stand for extended periods of time and reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 18 years or older.
