What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is friendly, tech‑savvy, organized, great at multi‑tasking, and can handle a busy/rapid setting. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, so the ability to make a customer's day an amazing one from the moment they walk in the door is key! The position is responsible for checking in new and existing patients per state and CRA requirements, creating patient profiles, and generally assisting where needed.
This candidate will also undergo mandatory training through JARS University.
- Verify customer's legal age and register them in the POS system.
- Check purchasing allotments during check‑in.
- Promote the JARS brand and excite customers about shopping at our location.
- Welcome guests with a positive, upbeat attitude.
- Use proper greetings and salutations to all customers at all times.
- Assist with curbside and online orders when needed.
- Answer calls with professional phone etiquette.
- Provide information regarding products, store hours, location, daily specials, website, and more.
- Emphasize the JARS Loyalty Program, campaigns, events, daily texts, etc.
- Arrive to each scheduled shift on time and presentable.
- Communicate to bud tenders for order completion updates.
- Create personable and memorable experiences for all patrons.
- Maintain Michigan & CRA compliance.
- Perform opening, mid‑day, and closing tasks and keep the reception area orderly.
- Support store management in an administrative capacity as required.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, policies and protocols.
- Monitor customer queues at all times.
- Keep online and paper menus up‑to‑date with daily offerings.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in retail, sales or hospitality.
- 1 year of administrative or front‑desk receptionist experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, multi‑tasking and follow‑up skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
- 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Some standing, bending, stooping and stretching.
- Ability to operate a computer, POS system and other office equipment.
- Fast‑paced retail cannabis dispensary environment.
- Frequent contact with patients and staff.
- Varied hours/day, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional events.
