Quality Technician - St. Johns Area

Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

• Conduct detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results, create quality records, and generate non-conformance reports.
• Identify and isolate non-conforming products or materials, and assist with disposition processes.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
• Support internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or quality control role
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting readings
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and basic statistical process control (SPC) principles
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities

• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar certification
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Internal auditing experience against ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949
