The OpportunityWe are partnering with organizations in St. Johns that are seeking Quality Technicians. Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications.
- Document inspection results, create quality records, and generate non-conformance reports.
- Identify and isolate non-conforming products or materials, and assist with disposition processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
- Support internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or quality control role
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting readings
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and basic statistical process control (SPC) principles
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar certification
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Internal auditing experience against ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949
