Quality Technician - Plainwell Area

Salary Range: $43,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Utilize various precision measuring instruments and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
• Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Initiate and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist in root cause analysis.
• Maintain and calibrate quality control equipment and gauges according to established schedules.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Collaborate with production personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.

• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality control methodologies (e.g., SPC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying non-conformances and performing root cause analysis.
• Excellent documentation and report writing skills for maintaining accurate quality records.

• Experience with CMM programming or operation.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Yellow Belt certification).
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
• Previous experience conducting internal quality audits.
