Our client, a leader in manufacturing and quality assurance, is seeking a dedicated CMM/Quality Technician to join their team. As a CMM/Quality Technician, you will be an integral part of the Quality Department supporting inspection and quality assurance activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: CMM/Quality Technician
Location: LUDINGTON, MI
Pay Range: $60K annual
Shift: 1st
What's the Job?- Manage Warranty Processing for Ludington products, including receiving complaints, identifying root causes, providing dispositions, and preparing reports.
- Program Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for new products and design revisions to ensure precision and quality standards.
- Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action initiatives for defects, scrap issues, and non-conforming supplier products.
- Support activities to ensure the Quality Management System complies with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Assist with Layered Process Audits and support Continuous Improvement activities at the Ludington facility.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience with CMM programming; 5 years preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Associates degree preferred. - High proficiency in CMM programming, ideally using Zeiss Calypso software, but open to other commercial CMM software.
- Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance, drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
- Strong inspection experience with proficiency in hand gages and inspection of precision components.
