Reports To: Quality Manager

Employment Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Quality & Safety Administrative Specialist supports and maintains Moran Iron Works’ Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Programs to ensure regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and a safe work environment. This role assists with inspections, documentation, training coordination, and reporting to uphold company quality standards and workplace safety requirements.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality and safety records.
  • Monitor and document compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and NCCCO regulations.
  • Schedule and document safety meetings, training sessions, audits, and inspections.
  • Assist with calibration of inspection tools and maintain documentation.
  • Investigate and document accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
  • Maintain and update Quality Management System manuals, forms, and postings.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in employee training and new hire orientation.
  • Ensure proper hazardous waste disposal.
  • Maintain first aid supplies and safety postings.
  • Prepare reports using Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance, safety, or an industrial environment preferred.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools preferred.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control processes preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
