About BTGBTG provides rescue medicines typically used in emergency rooms and intensive care units to treat patients for whom there are limited treatment options. We are dedicated to delivering quality medicines that make a real difference to patients and their families through the development, manufacture, and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products. Our current portfolio of antidotes counteracts certain snake venoms and the toxicity associated with some heart and cancer medications.
Role OverviewAs a Production Technician, you’ll be hands‑on with our sheep handling activities—both indoors and outdoors to support our immunization and antibody collection programs. You’ll work closely with the Production Manager and Senior Technicians, helping maintain records and keeping our production standards high. You’ll also play a part in our facility upkeep, following the standards set by the TGA and FDA, and meeting Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines.
This role will be offered as part‑time over 4 days per fortnight Tues‑Fri with additional occassional weekend work
Main Responsibilities- Using low stress stock handling techniques to work with our flock and help to maintain a high standard of animal welfare
- Making sure animal care practices meet “best practice” standards, and following the guidelines in the “Model Code of Practice for the Welfare of Animals – The Sheep”
- Following all our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Performing every task with a focus on safety, hygiene, and detail
- Ideally, you’ll have a background in Animal Science or Agriculture, but it’s not essential
- Enjoy working with a big team towards a common goal
- Good communication skills and high attention to detail
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office
