Join our compassionate and dedicated team at Brinker Veterinary Hospital, a small animal clinic located in Lake Orion, Michigan. We are currently seeking a part-time LVT to work 2-3 days per week. We are open 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Job Description

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Brinker Veterinary Hospital, you will be at the heart of patient health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting the veterinarian with exams, dental procedures and surgeries
  • Utilize in-house Idexx machines to perform labwork
  • Administer medications
  • Monitor routine surgeries
  • Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
  • Handle client concerns or complaints with empathy and efficiency, escalating to the appropriate staff when necessary
  • Educate pet owners on how to maintain general health and wellness
  • Update and maintain accurate client records in our database
  • Promote clinic services and products to clients, enhancing their overall experience
Qualifications
  • Veterinary technician license in good standing
  • Proficiency in animal handling
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology
  • Ability to perform in-house labwork and take radiographs
  • Ability to perform venipuncture including blood draws and IV catheterization
  • Knowledge of surgery and aseptic techniques
  • Ability to perform routine teeth cleaning
  • Familiarity with administering medications
  • A friendly, positive attitude and a genuine love for animals
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
