The Assistant Gardener will assist volunteers with the care of Cranbrook’s gardens for the season. Assistance will include weeding, edging, planting, pruning, and trimming, and general clean‑up of garden areas. The position will work under the direction of the Gardener and Auxiliary Gardens Management Chair. This is a part‑time seasonal position. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour.
There are three open positions. The dates of employment will be:
- Position 1 – May – November 2026, 20 hours per week
- Position 2 – June – August 2026, 20 hours per week
- Position 3 – May – November 2026, 8 hours per week
Previous gardening experience is helpful. A valid Michigan Driver license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
