Position Purpose

Nurses in the Pre‑op and PACU department care for patients before and after their surgical procedure. In our Operating Room at Chelsea, more than 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed annually in the fields of gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, podiatry, plastic surgery, and spine surgery.

The Registered Nurse Provides quality patient centered care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate concepts of relationship‑based care into practice and serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

Shift Available

Day Shift – 7am‑7:30pm – Every other Saturday and Sunday (weekends only after completion of orientation)

Status Available

Part time, not benefit eligible (24 hours per pay period – every two weeks)

No on call requirement

Required Qualifications
  • Current Michigan Nursing License
  • ICU and/or Prep/PACU experience preferred.
  • ACLS, PALS preferred
  • Graduation from accredited nursing program
  • New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years
  • Canadian Nurses are encouraged to apply
