Clear, concise communication of patient condition using nursing tools during all hand offs including bedside report. • Delegates and supervises only those nursing measures which the nurse knows, or should know, that another person is prepared, qualified, or licensed to perform.

• Initiate nursing actions to assist the patient to maximize his/her health capabilities.
• Provide nursing care without discrimination on the basis of diagnosis, age, sex, race, creed, or color.
• Administers medications, monitors IV and blood transfusions, monitors vital signs and performs routine treatments and procedures.
• Maintains patients records and charts, recording pertinent information, medications, treatments administered, treatment response and initiating patient incident reports as needed
• Reinforces patient teaching and discharge instructions.

• Seeks education resources and create learning experiences to enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills for his/her continuing competence in nursing practice and individual growth. Including continuing education, council and committee participation, and process improvement activities.
• Seek education and supervision as necessary when implementing nursing practice techniques.
