Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Brownstown Rotating

$40,000 SIGN-ON BONUS! CRNA's - Experienced and New Graduates! Administers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.

General description:

Administers anesthesia and provides airway management as needed across the hospital, for patients of all ages and ASA classes.

• Provides leadership in the professional practice setting.
• Supports and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.

• Identifies patient problems and collaborates with the Anesthesia/Surgeon/ perioperative team to select appropriate interventions (tasks).
• Interacts with health care team members to plan and coordinate perioperative care.

• Conducts appropriate pre-anesthetic assessments and documents findings.
• In collaboration with the anesthesiologist, determines the appropriate anesthetic plan and manages all aspects of anesthesia care (preoperative, perioperative, and immediate postoperative care).
• Maintains complete and accurate documentation of care for all procedures.
• Provides airway management and/or intubations for emergent, non-emergent, and resuscitation situations throughout the hospital.
• Identifies services and care-improvement ideas and acts on them to create excellent customer experiences.
• Demonstrates accountability for upholding standards and adhering to Henry Ford Health policies and procedures.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives and programs.

• Independently uses and documents the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal-focused, individualized, safe, age-specific care.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.
• Master’s degree required.
• Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other health care providers.

Frequent walking, bending, lifting may be required to perform duties. Work is generally in an operating room environment, but can be in Radiology, ICU, ER, or wherever nurse anesthesia services are required in the hospital. Working conditions are variable with exposure to communicable diseases and other hazards. Driving may be required, depending on specialty.
