Licensed Practical Nurse

Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for an "LPN-LTC" position that will provide support to our client's healthcare systems in Bellaire, Michigan. This is a contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

LPN – Long Term Care

Schedule:

36 hours/Week

Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Pay Range for Traveler: $1,550 to $1,620.00/ Weekly DOE

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards and facility policy
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during exams and treatments
• Monitor residents’ conditions, record changes, and report to supervisors, physicians, and families
• Take and assess vital signs to detect deviations from normal
• Assign duties and coordinate nursing services to meet resident needs
• Collaborate with Shift Supervisor regarding nursing issues and facility policies
• Report complaints, unusual incidents, and assist with facility complaint reports
• Participate in orientation, training, and evaluation of nursing personnel
• Evaluate nursing activities to ensure quality care and staff efficiency
• Supervise and observe nursing care to ensure compliance with physician orders
• Maintain responsibility for unit narcotics and related documentation
• Inspect resident rooms and units for cleanliness and comfort
• Document admissions, discharges, transfers, and incident reports
• Participate in care planning, nursing assessments, and resident care plans
• Complete audits and special projects as assigned by leadership
• Maintain state-required education to keep RN license current
• Attend in-services and ward conferences as assigned
• Ensure resident confidentiality, dignity, and compliance with Residents’ Rights
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• 2+ years experience in LTC, SNF, or Med-Surg
• At least 1 successful RN travel assignment (must be listed in work history)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Active Michigan RN License (Nursys)
• RTO: Maximum 5 days (no RTO accepted after offer)
• COVID Vaccine: Strongly preferred (mask required if declined)
