This position functions as an advanced level clinical nurse. MCTI provides skills training and vocational evaluation in a residential setting to adults with disabilities. This position will conduct physical assessment formulating nursing diagnosis and interaction strategies in formulating a treatment plan. Will coordinate with the physician of record to administer medication as needed. This position will perform high risk assessments of students and staff injuries.

Responsible for and oversees professional nursing care of the students. Responsible to maintain nursing competencies. Provides emergency care to students and staff as needed. This position will maintain inventory of medications and supplies and submit purchase requests as needed. This position will also be available to provide coverage in the C.N.A. classroom and in the clinical setting as needed.

Education:
Completion of a degree in nursing or nursing school educational program accepted for registered nurse licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.


Experience:
One year of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11.

Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications
Possession of a Michigan license in good standing as a registered nurse. Possession of a master’s degree in nursing or possession of a bachelor’s degree in nursing and six months of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11 may be substituted for the experience requirement.
