Location: Paw Paw
House Manager (RN) – Bronson Lake View Hospital – PRN
Team Bronson invites Registered Nurses to lead patient care operations on the unit floor. The House Manager supports staff, resolves clinical and administrative issues, and coordinates hospital-wide activities to maintain high quality patient safety and efficient capacity management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide immediate administrative and clinical leadership to unit staff and ancillary departments.
- Resolve crises, conflicts, and problems requiring immediate attention; inform department managers and directors of issues and resolutions.
- Investigate and follow up on problems and complaints from patients, visitors, physicians and staff; implement appropriate action.
- Coordinate placement of admissions and transfers; monitor hospital capacity and manage throughput to avoid delays in patient placement.
- Lead bed planning meetings (0400/1600) and work with staffing office to ensure appropriate placement of available staff.
- Communicate with outside organizations, law enforcement agencies and the media to coordinate disaster or emergency response; maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular rounds on all hospital departments and units; provide direction during shortages and computer downtime.
- Act as mentor to staff and advocate to patients; maintain safety and quality focus through active participation in safety check‑in meetings.
- BSN required upon hire; 3–5 years of progressive responsible experience in the hospital or elsewhere.
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the state of Michigan.
- Bronson South Haven Hospital – BCLS required upon hire;
Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire. - Hospital Incident Command courses (IS‑100, IS‑200
HCB, IS‑200
HCA, IS‑700A) and NIH Stroke certification completed within 6 months of hire. - Strong communication skills; ability to work as a team member and handle sensitive matters with tact.
- Basic computer proficiency to support record keeping and data analysis for patient care.
Variable shift, part‑time – scheduled 10 hours weekly.
