Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• 72 guaranteed hours per week (biweekly), with overtime after 80 hours worked in second week

• 13-week contract length with ASAP start dates

• Float to ICU to assist when needed

• Can be low censused and placed on call with 2-hour minimum call back

• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

• Patient ratio averages 1:6 for night shift on 25-bed Med Surg unit

• Generally care for geriatric patients with CHF, COPD, and diabetes

• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility

Required:

Current Michigan RN license, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications

• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience required with ICU and ER experience

• Strong charting experience required with Care Scape patient monitors, Epic EMR, and Pyxis medication dispensing

• Any colored scrubs permitted

• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

• Candidates with demonstrated contract experience in colder climates preferred for winter start dates

• Mask requirement during flu season if declining flu and COVID vaccination

The facility utilizes modern healthcare technology including Epic EMR systems, Care Scape patient monitors, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to ensure quality patient care and efficient nursing workflows.
